Big sucker...! I didn't know Penn. had bears that got that big. I thought only Canada and AK did. Did you read any of the comments. Seems like this might have been a half tame bear that was being fed by locals. Your typical tree huggers are wishing death to the hunter. Some really messed up folks.

I recently went out and shot some loads in my 444 Marlin that I had on the shelf from 3-4 years ago. I noticed that there was a consistent 150-200 fps difference between now and the first time I shot them. I was wondering if anyone has experienced loads degrading over time.

Does it have a semi-hidden safety that might be on? Not to familiar with the rifle, but Marlins have a safety that can be overlooked sometimes which will not let the firing pin hit the primer. Don't some of those 92's have a safety up top where the peepsight ought to go?
