I'd suggest trying a thicker patch on those roundballs,..see if the groups tighten up. Something like artist canvas works well if you put a little lube on the patch.

I wish I could find a better picture. They've got a couple of these guys in the Oklahoma aquarium up by Tulsa. They say they're over 130 lbs. I've seen them and they're almost as big as the hood of your car. Amazing animals.

My notes showed it to be the most consistent thru the chronograph, although it wasn't the most accurate out of my rifle. I can't find the notebook I wrote down the velocities in, sorry, only noted that load was the most consistent.

Ah ha,...that's the one. I was wondering how you attached the magazine tube to the barrel, with a dovetail blank. Hadn't thought of going that route, but that would eliminate tapping the barrel directly. Thanks for re-posting.

My dad was a big Johnny Horton fan, so growing up I heard alot of Johnny Horton's stuff, including Comanche the Brave Horse.

That looks like a Roe deer on one side and a Red stag on the other. What's the European connection with this rifle?
