Hey Guys, There are a couple of companies that make rings and mounts that will return to zero when removed and replaced. Talley comes to mind. It would take some experimenting initially, but you should be able to do a precise adjustment from one firearm to the other, and the reverse adjustment when ...

OT One revolver, one rifle, and one scope
Hi All, I've recently purchased a Leupold 2.5-8 x 32, VX-3 handgun scope. I saved my $$ and bought the best I could afford. It's not the first Leupold scope I've purchased as I've been pleased in the past. I've also got a Ruger Bisley Blackhawk revolver (7 1/2 inch barrel, .45 Colt), and a Puma 92 (...

Nate,
It'll come down to what you're comfortable with......I don't shoot round nosed in my Marlins, and neither does Paco. If you read some of his articles, he says on occasion that he files the exposed rounded lead off to make a flat point.
Good shooting!!

Dave, I remember an article in "Guns & Ammo" (I think) several years ago about a Marlin that had been converted to 45 ACP. Lots of action work to make the short cartridge work through, but a huge magazine capacity!! It shot very well as I recall. Maybe someone has a copy of the article.

Hi All, In another thread by nemhed we've been talking about converting a SMLE to .44 Mag. I've thought for a long time that a bolt rifle in .45 Colt would be a really nice firearm. I could be built on a short bolt action, have a 16"-18" barrel and not give up balistically, the ammo could ...
