Re: gettysburg....
Hi All, I accompanied a couple of Boy Scout Troops to Gettysburg a couple of summers ago, spending a couple of days as tourists before going up Route 15 to spend a week at BSA summer camp. We got a general overview, then spent an afternoon following Pickett's Charge. You could spend a lot of time th...

Very nice rifle !! I'm seeing a 400 grain hard cast WFN at about 1500 fps, and lots of dead moose, elk, bear, and about anything else you can imagine !!

Re: THE Most AMAZING Levergun Shot I've ever seen
Hi All,
My brother has a Marlin 336 in 375 Win, and I sent him the URL for Wind's last long range shooting spree.
Like my brother, I probably couldn't see the 800 yard dinger, and would have trouble seeing the 400 yarder.
Great shooting!!

Re: OT-Revolving Carbine
Hi All, I've always gone the other way with this concept. I shoot 45 Colt in my Puma 92. You can get a lot of juice from a small package. Lets have a rifled barrel, and a 410 sized cartridge that shoots a 350 grain 45 cal (475 ??) bullet at 1600 fps. Elk, moose, big bear, cape buffalo......these wer...

Hi All,
As I recall, JD Jones makes a 50-70 barrel for the Contender, and a sweet looking thumb-hole stock. After what was essentially a 99.9% failure rate, he quit putting scopes on the rifle. They're available with iron sights only.

Okay Guys, Who's designing a double barrel lever-rifle?? Two barrels with a magazine tube under each, two triggers, one lever. If we go with 18 inch barrels and .45 Colt chambering we should be able to get a ten or twelve round capacity. When you run into that 500 pound Russian boar, pull both trigg...

Hi All,
After buying brass from them a few years back, I've come to a point where if Starline makes what I'm after, then I buy from them. Basically my stock of 45 Colt brass is all from Starline.

Hi Mark,
I load the Speer 150 grain FN and IMR 3031 for my wife's M336, and get good results....frequently 1 3/4 inches at a hundred yards with an occasional group you can cover with a quarter.

OT--Cartridge Conversion on 1860
Hi All, I've just been reading O.S.O.K.'s postings about his new 1860 Sheriff's model 44. I bought one of these a couple of years back....lots of fun. I ran into a conversion cylinder to shoot 45 cal cartridges in the 1860, and have been half way tempted to buy one, but as I looked at them, I though...
