I took my grandson out to the woods to hunt and shoot some guns this passed weekend and shot up a box of Hornandy flex tips and captured some bullets we fired into a tree, (cut it down actually with bullets) and all the bullets recovered mushrumed perfectly. I was amazed at how well those things wor...

Thanks Hobbi, I can live with out the +P stuff just wanted a bullet with more grain so 270 sounds good. I can't seem to find anything larger then 255 grain for the SAA. Where would you find ammo like that. I do not reload.

265 grain .45 colt ammo
I wanted to get your alls advise. I was reading on a website that the New Vaquero is a little stronger than the standard SAA .45, and that one could load it with a 265 grain +P BCHP from cor-bon. (1200 FPS) (848 FTLBS) is that true. I want to say that not recommended as a planking round but used for...

The revolver 1851 navy with brass cylinder is the old one, but I have a very nice Nickle 1860 that I treasure. Both are .44 Cal. I stay around 27 grains when just shooting , But during deer season (Muzzle Loading), I take the 1860 .44 loaded with 30 grains. I just needed to know how much the gun can...

Yes" but not for the reason you are thinking. Anyone who owns an SKS know that when the rifle was made it was made for the china man, who has very short arms. (The Stock) The recoil pad gives you extra length to the rifle and allows you to use the Iron sights better as well. It also has a steel...
