Room where? The loading gate? Rebarreling would take care of the chamber, unless there was enough meat in the existing chamber to ream it deeper.

Has anyone had any experience with the .357 Max in a lever action? I have two Marlin 1894C levers in .357 Mag and would like to convert one to Max. Does anyone know of a smith doing this conversion? I love these rifles and think the Max would be a heck of a round in a rifle.
