I've wondered why they didn't use curly maple stocks on cartridge guns for a long time, so when my wife showed me this one, I fell in love with it.

Try one before you buy one. I've shot both Ruger and Colt style and find they both make me limp wrist the guns. "To me" this does nothing for accuracy and actually causes me wrist pain.

The post WW II (1947 vintage) flat band carbine I had had milled bands. My 1950 carbine has the stamped bands. I agree the magazines on the carbines with the milled bands are secured better.

I have checked the "Remember Me" box every time, doesn't seem to help.

Using Firefox, I hate Chrome.

Have been to browser and looked for the place to check and can't find it.

It also forgets You Tube settings as well.

We had to get a newer computer and it has Win 10 in it.

I had fits getting logged in to LG and now every time I leave the forum this PC logs me out. Is there a setting to stop this?
Can someone direct me to where it is?

If this is over the Model 597 I see little if any similarity to Ruger's 10-22. Sounds like Remington has a product that people are buying and Ruger can't stand the competition.

Cleaning is good of course, but first do this: First: forget anything you know about Marlins, they are different and operate in reverse, Second: Open the action and listen for the metallic clink the lifter makes when it pops up. Third: Lightly hold the lever in the open position and gently push down...
